St. Mary's, Itabo, Cuba

St. Mary’s, Itabo, Cuba is St. Mark’s companion parish in Cuba. In addition to supporting St. Mary’s financially, St. Mark’s parishioners have provided church furnishings and repairs, medications, clothing, and basic necessities.

St. Mark's will have a special visitor November 6, 7 and 8th. His name is Francisco Arazoza, Canon for the Diocese of Cuba and the Communications Officer under Bishop Tamayo of Cuba and Uruguay. Many of our Cuba travelers have met Francisco at the Cathedral in Havana. He helps get us safely in and out of the country and also ensures that we have our visas!

On the 7th Francisco will attend our 11:30 Eucharist and lunch with us at Grace House. Everyone is welcome to join us.

If you would like to travel with us to Cuba in 2008 for our next mission trip, our dates are set for May 1-7. Next year is the 20th anniversary of our companion relationship with St. Mary's in Itabo.
