Revive Your Faith

Many people who were raised in the Church (Episcopal or another denomination), baptized as children and confirmed as teenagers or young adults have found that, for a variety of reasons, they may have “drifted away” from having a rich and full life of faith.

It is unfortunate though not uncommon for youth to drift away from the church, not to return until they want to get married or to have their own children baptized. While we do our best to encourage our young people to remain faithful throughout their college and young adult years, we recognize that some may drift away. If this describes you and your early faith experience either at St. Mark’s or any other Christian Church, please know that you are always welcome to “come home” to St. Mark’s.

Others may have stayed faithful during their young adult years but for a variety of other reasons may have left the church of their younger years at a later stage in life. For example, some people leave because they have been hurt by a church conflict, others leave when they come to particularly difficult struggles with questions of life and faith and other ultimate concerns, others still may have come to a point where they had a vague objection to so-called “organized religion.” For these or any other reasons, if this describes your faith experience but now you find that you feel drawn back to church for whatever reason, you are welcome here at St. Mark’s.

However long you may have been away and for whatever reasons, if you are feeling drawn back to a more full life of faith, we here at St. Mark’s offer you not only a place to come but also a variety of programs designed just for you. If you want to take small steps back, just come on Sunday and worship God with us at any one of our four service times. If you have questions of faith, scripture, theology or the Christian life in general, please feel free to make an appointment to speak with one of our priests about any of those lingering questions and concerns. If you are back and ready for action, please contact Diane Massanelli at 388-2681 to learn how you can put your spiritual gifts to good use in a lay ministry at St. Mark’s.

Finally, if you have been away and are ready to fully renew and revive your faith, we invite your participation in any one or more of our faith renewal programs:
