Transferring to St. Marks

If you are already a confirmed* Episcopalian and an active member of another Episcopal Church, and would like to transfer your membership from that parish to St. Mark's, please call Diane Massanelli, Parish Secretary, at 388-2681. Diane will handle all of the administrative details involved in such a transfer. Though you are already an Episcopalian, we nonetheless invite you to participate in our Newcomer Program, which includes a 4 week Newcomers’ Class and a Newcomers’ Social. In addition, someone from our Newcomers’ Committee will contact you to find out where and how you can best offer your gifts for ministry as a member of this faith community.

If you are already a confirmed Episcopalian from an earlier time in your adult life, or as a teenager, but perhaps you have not been an active churchgoer for some years, you are still most welcome here. To transfer your membership, simply contact Diane Massanelli at
388-2681 and she will help formalize your new membership here at St. Mark’s. You are also invited to participate in our Newcomer Program as described above. When the Bishop makes his annual visit to St. Mark’s, you may also desire to formally Reaffirm your earlier Confirmation vows, though there is certainly no requirement for you to do so. Please contact
Diane Massanelli , Parish Secretary, to find out more about Reaffirmation.

Once again, we are glad that you are here. You are a blessing to our faith community. You are most welcome here and we look forward to getting to know you better.

**To be a “confirmed member” of the Episcopal Church means that you have already completed Confirmation preparation classes and have participated in the Sacramental Rite of Confirmation found in either the Book of Common Prayer 1979 or 1928, which must have included the laying on of hands by any bishop lawfully consecrated in the in the Episcopal Church U.S.A.
